He has held a variety of senior positions in multinational companies and provides investment & consultancy services to a variety of medical technology businesses. His work routinely includes assisting startup companies that are pursuing international commercialisation. Governance via various company directorship appointments;
  • Board member of Surgionix; a New Zealand based medical technology start-up specialising in orthopaedic medical instrumentation
  • Co-Founder and board member of Surgisplint Ltd & Zero-Cast Limited; a New Zealand based medical-technologies start-up specialising in orthotic devices.
  • Foundation advisory board consultant and investor (various device start-up business)
  • Served three separate terms as a board member of the Medical Technology Association of New Zealand. MTANZ represents the MedTech industry sector.
  • Chaired various NZ HealthTech Week sessions. A founding member of NZ HealthTech Week organising committee.
  • Chaired Callaghan Innovation HealthTech Innovation & Investment Conference (2018/2019)
  • Community Youth Trust (Chair) 1988 - 2019 & various charity sector governance roles, including board chair.
